Metal Finishing – Plating & Coating

Metal Finishing – Plating & Coating

Electrolytic and chemical finishing: nickel, zinc, cadmium, silver, gold, anodizing, phosphate, chemical conversion and blackening. Applied to MIL, AMS and ASTM specifications and delivered with inspection reports.

Electrolytic Nickel Plating

Electrolytic nickel plating; provides wear and corrosion resistance, also used for controlled thickness build-up in repair work.

Electroless Nickel Plating

Autocatalytic process; uniform coating thickness even on internal surfaces and complex geometries. For parts requiring high hardness and corrosion resistance.

Gold Plating

Low contact resistance and oxidation protection; for electrical reliability in connectors, RF and electronic components.

Copper Plating

Provides conductivity and solderability; also applied as an interlayer in multi-layer plating systems.

Zinc Plating

Sacrificial corrosion protection for steel parts; available with clear, yellow and black passivation.

Zinc-Nickel Plating

Substantially higher corrosion resistance than standard zinc; used on defense and aerospace fasteners and chassis parts.

Silver Plating

High electrical and thermal conductivity with good solderability; for RF and power transmission components.

Cadmium Plating

Corrosion protection still specified in aerospace standards; low galvanic potential against aluminum makes it preferred for steel parts mating with aluminum.

Tin Plating

Solderability and corrosion protection for electronic and electromechanical parts.

Anodizing

Controlled oxide layer on aluminum; hardness, corrosion resistance and pre-paint surface preparation. Chromic, sulfuric and hard types, with color options.

Phosphate Coatings

Zinc and manganese phosphate coatings on steel; for pre-paint preparation, oil retention and break-in wear.

Chemical Conversion Coating (Alodine)

Thin corrosion protection on aluminum that preserves electrical conductivity; for pre-paint surfaces and grounding interfaces. Cr+3 and Cr+6 options.

Chemical Blackening

Low-reflectance black oxide finish on steel with no dimensional change; used on optical and sighting system components.

Stainless Steel Passivation

Removal of free iron from stainless surfaces and reinforcement of the passive chromium-oxide layer; restores corrosion resistance.

Ceramic-Based Coating (Cerakote)

Thin ceramic-based protective coating for surfaces requiring high-temperature, wear and chemical resistance; used on weapon and equipment parts.

Titanium Anodizing

Surface conditioning and color coding of titanium parts through oxide growth; used in aerospace and medical applications.

Solid Film Lubricant

Dry-film lubrication where liquid lubricants cannot be used; MoS₂- and PTFE-based coatings reduce friction and prevent galling.

Adhesive & Sealant Application

Specification-driven adhesive, sealant and filler application, including ballistic glass bonding, as a pre- or post-assembly process step.

Additional Applications

Blasting, laser marking, stress relief and hydrogen embrittlement relief baking; evaluated together against your program specification.

Metal Finishing – Painting

Metal Finishing – Painting

Military-specification wet and powder painting in booths up to 15 metres: primer and topcoat systems, CARC, camouflage patterns, Duracoat and thermoplastic coating.

Chemical Test & Measurement

Chemical Test & Measurement

Verification of plating and paint quality to specification: salt spray, thickness, adhesion, impact, gloss and titrimetric bath analysis. Every delivery ships with a measurement report.

How an order moves

Metal finishing first: plating, painting and chemical test and measurement, every process applied to its MIL, AMS or ASTM specification. Then four lines built to your drawing.

  1. 01

    Drawing and specification

You send the drawing or CAD model, the process and the specification. Without a specification, the engineering team proposes one from the material and service environment.

  2. 02

    Quotation and sample

A written quotation within 2 working days for standard processes. On new programmes the first sample is verified together with the test plan.

  3. 03

    Processing

Pre-treatment, plating or paint and, where required, hydrogen embrittlement relief run in the same plant with bath analysis and oven records.

  4. 04

    Test and report

Thickness, salt spray, adhesion and whatever else the specification requires are tested; the measurement report is tied to the part number.

  5. 05

    Delivery

Parts ship in protective packaging with the report, from Ankara and via scheduled runs through the Istanbul liaison office.

Common questions about our services

Are plating and painting done in the same plant?

Yes. Chemical pre-treatment, plating, painting and pre-delivery testing all run in the same plant in Anadolu OSB. Once a part enters, the whole process chain stays under one responsibility, with no intermediate transport or supplier hand-over.

How is a process chosen if I do not specify one?

The engineering team proposes a process and specification from the part's material, service environment and assembly position, for example cadmium on steel mating with aluminium, or chemical conversion under paint on aluminium. The proposal is written into the quotation.

Do you carry out hydrogen embrittlement relief?

Yes. High-strength steel parts are baked after plating to ASTM-F519 / ASTM-B850 and the cycle is recorded.

Do you process samples or prototypes?

Yes. Single parts and small batches run on the same lines as production. On a new programme the first sample is verified together against the specification and test plan.

Have a drawing for this process?

Send your technical drawing or 3D CAD model through our secure channel. Our engineering team replies with a quotation against the specification.
