Metal Finishing – Painting
Duracoat
Durable, low-reflectance Duracoat finish for weapon and equipment surfaces.
Process
A new-generation coating with high corrosion, wear and UV resistance. Bonds strongly to plastics and wood as well as metals. Known as a firearm finish, now widespread in defense and aerospace.
What it provides
- Low-reflectance finish with chemical and scratch resistance
- Colour matched to military colour charts
- Thin film: preserves tolerances and mechanism clearances
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Duracoat and Cerakote?
Duracoat is an air-drying flexible polymer coating and needs no oven; Cerakote is ceramic-based, oven-cured, and gives higher temperature and wear resistance. Both suit weapon bodies; Cerakote is recommended for barrels and hot parts.
Which colours are available?
A wide range including military tones and camouflage colours; a colour-match sample can be sent with the quotation.
